TransAir Features & Specifications

Simplicity of Use

The TransAir is perhaps the most complete, yet simple to operate, pulmonary system on the market today. Typically, technicians are able to complete full testing with as little as 1 hour of instruction. The ComPAS Freedom™ software provides a beautifully illustrated HTML Help Manual and background information on the physiology and scientific techniques employed in pulmonary function testing. All tests are detailed with pictorial guides and routine maintenance and service help is also included. The TransAir is very popular with users. Not only is it small and user-friendly, it is a reliable troublefree partner in patient testing.

ComPAS Freedom™ & The TransAir

Each flow volume maneuver is assessed for ATS acceptability. Using check-marks, the technician is immediately informed of reproducibility.ComPAS Freedom™ software is an advanced suite of Windows® programs that assures quality of test results. It is the culmination of over 100 years combined experience in clinical pulmonary function testing. When you use ComPAS Freedom™, it is as if you have a wise and experienced colleague sitting by your side. When utilized with the TransAir, ComPAS Freedom™ provides straightforward ease of use while disguising powerful capability. Each step of operation, from calibration through patient entry, PFT testing and reporting is guided and checked for validity.

Elegant Networking – Task Manager

ComPAS Freedom™ SQL® can be the 'framework' for a complete pulmonary department network. Test results can be sent around the network for physician review and signature before going on to the hospital main frame. Ask for further details of the ComPAS Freedom™ Departmental Network. For small and large institutions alike, the Task Manager feature allows the pulmonary consultant to review tests completed in the PFT lab from their personal networkconnected workstation. ComPAS Freedom™ makes provision for each physician to create and utilize personalized interpretation templates.

Calibration:

TransAir calibration is so easy! Using a 3-liter calibration syringe and the DLCO test gas, the instrument can be calibrated in less than 2 minutes. All the calibration information is stored for optional Quality Control reporting and in cases of disability testing, calibration data can be linked to the final report.

Testing Confidence:

Beyond the standard ATS checking of each test effort, ComPAS Freedom™ issues a "confidence" rating based on both the patient and instrument performance. Not only will ComPAS Freedom™ catch any likely problems with test results, it will also provide detailed messages describing what is wrong.

Diffusion Testing:

SpiroAir has a small footprint and can be comfortably set on a bench or supplied with a durable mobile cart.
Using the Help guide for step by step instruction on cleaning the pneumotachograph.

The TransAir will obtain highly reproducible single breath diffusion results on patients with very small capacities. The ComPAS Freedom™ software automatically controls the TransAir settings based on the Flow Volume Loop or Slow Vital Capacity information. Not only is the TransAir by far the easiest instrument to operate for performance of DLCO, the test results are assured by ComPAS Freedom™.

Help is one click away:

A comprehensive Help system addresses both software and hardware operation, utilizing pictorial guides and clear instructions. It also provides background on pulmonary function testing plus maintenence and service guides.

Using ComPAS Freedom™ software and the TransAir will guarantee cost-effective excellence in pulmonary function testing for many years to come

The most "user-friendly" Bronchial Provocation Testing capability ever:

SpiroAir has a small footprint and can be comfortably set on a bench or supplied with a durable mobile cart.

With many PFT systems, Bronchial challenge testing is a tedious and confusing test. Using ComPAS Freedom™ however, it is made straightforward and quite delightful! Each step is organized and assisted with intelligent prompts and timers.

The testing is professionally guided through each of the drug levels making use of ATS effort checking and a clear visual display of the dose response curve.

Any form of challenge testing from Methacholine to Cold Air or Exercise protocols can be accommodated.

Spectacular Reporting Capability:

SpiroAir has a small footprint and can be comfortably set on a bench or supplied with a durable mobile cart.
There is no limit to the layout and design capability available. Reports can be batch printed on busy days.

ComPAS Freedom™ reports go far beyond the limited designs of alternative software! A comprehensive "Report Designer" is supplied with ComPAS Freedom™ together with a wide selection of standard reports.

Typical report options include:

  • Single Page Screening Spirometry Reports
  • Multi-page Full PFT Reports
  • Multi-page Comprehensive Reports – PFT, Body Box and ABG results
  • Bronchial Provocation Reports – with dose response curve and interpretation
  • Disability Reports – large scale volume-time graphing
  • Summary Reports – showing all efforts and variables
  • Quality control and Administrative Reports
